It's easy to push and it feels solid when navigating kerbs and woodland paths. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the most lightweight buggy single for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, thanks to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold-down that fits into aeroplane overhead luggage. This latest version features independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to effortlessly navigate all terrains and types'.

The curved fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a stylish pushchair with a subtle, elegant aesthetic. The frame's base weight is less than a kilo, and is so lightweight that you can lift it out of the box with just one hand.

The hood, for instance is able to snap onto the YOYO2 in a reassuring manner. It's also machine washable at 30deg which helps avoid stains caused by smushed carrot puffs and rice cakes. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It can also be converted into a stroller at 6 months using the YOYO connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great option for parents who are looking for a stroller that is versatile. It transforms from a stroller to wagon by simply flipping the handle, so parents can pick the mode they prefer for their journey. The wagon is able to accommodate two or three children ranging from 6 months to five years old. It comes with a large storage basket that will hold everything you need on the go.

The Xplore has dual canopies which can rotate from front to back, offering adequate sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell, which is not as deep or wide as other wagons, which means it may not be ideal for long-distance excursions or for napping.

The frame on the Xplore feels solid and sturdy however it doesn't have the same flex as some of the other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it isn't able to lock securely after folding. It is easy to maneuver however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents looking for a secondary stroller that is affordable. It scored highly in our Strollers & Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions, which means it's lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to carry and put in a trunk of a car. It also has the option of reclining in multiple positions and an adult cup holder. Other features worth mentioning include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree front wheels that are shock-absorbing.

In our push and turn test, it did better than many of the other strollers of a similar price we tested, but it's still not the most comfortable to maneuver over uneven ground or through doorways that are narrow. Its sunshades are among the smallest we tested, offering only direct overhead coverage, and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger canopy sizes.

It took us just under 3 minutes to assemble the Delta using a standard manual. The parts are all non-required and required tools. However, it's missing some essential features that we believe you should not compromise on in a double stroller such as an extra-large basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair, and is advertised as a travel system for urban use. The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it simple for parents to help their child in and out. The narrow pushchair sailed through everyday bumps and doorways with ease.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward direction and can also swivel. This is useful in rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate while walking along the stony path. It handled the situation well, even though it felt to be a bit bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain strollers for jogging. However, they also produce a wide selection of pushchairs with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is simple to fold and fits easily in the boot of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It's a bit heavier than the other strollers we tried, but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and durable. It is easy to maneuver on various terrains and even with two children, a shopping bag and other things.

The carrycot and seat both have hoods with pull-down UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are waterproof and strong unlike other prams' hoods which are turned back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, however it does have a big basket that's large enough to fit a changing bag and plenty of food items. It can also be connected with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters sold separately). If you require a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene it stole the hearts of parents across the world. It is an aluminium-framed stroller which can be used from baby's first days to beyond. It is a standout model with many unique features, like the ability of the seat to flip between the parent and the world, a large UPF50+ canopy that has an eye shade that flips out, and an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are strong and filled with foam which minimizes punctures and the chassis has built-in suspension that eases the pain of bumpy terrain. It was simple to push and our tester was able to maneuver the vehicle through tight streets.

It locks automatically and folds in just four steps. It can also be rolled and stood up for easier transport down the stairs or in the car's boot. It also comes with a travel system equipped with the option to add a car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that come with it. The brakes are only one action and are colour coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget-friendly pushchair is simple to use and has an excellent dual suspension. It folds using just one hand, and comes with a convenient carrying strap. It's also light and robust.
