In our tests it did a great job on both hard floors as well as low-pile carpeting, picking most of the smaller, more difficult debris that we dropped on each surface and taking on the larger crumbs of cereal we placed on the carpet. It's less effective at picking up pet hair than other models we tested. It may also get stuck on cords or toys if you do not remove them before allowing the robot to clean.

In our tests, the i3+ EVO was clean for around 90 minutes before its battery ran low and it returned to its original state. This is much better than the i7+ or s9+ which was only able to run for 60 minutes in our tests. The i3+ EVO also has a fantastic track record of recollecting the exact place it left off on an individual run this isn't the case with other robots we've examined.

Eureka Q5 Pro, despite its limitations, is a good option for those who are looking for a basic robotic vacuum with mopping capabilities.

3. SwitchBot K10 Plus

If you're looking for a smart vacuum cleaner that has the capability to also mop, then the SwitchBot K10 Plus is a fantastic choice. The small size of this robot allows it to reach areas that larger robots aren't able to, such as corners and under furniture. It also has a LiDAR sensor which can detect obstacles and avoid collisions.

During testing during testing, the K10 Plus quickly and efficiently vacuumed dust, pet hair, crumbs, and other debris from our carpeting and hardwood floors. It also did an excellent job of getting into tight spots like under our bed and around the legs of chairs. It can mop with a separate cloth or use a wet wipe. Its real-world suction power is powerful for a robotic vacuum, but isn't as strong as the suction power of high-end models like the Roborock S8.

The design of the Roomba S9+ is premium. It has a D-shaped frame that looks more modern than its rivals' circular bodies. This shape can help it to get into corners and along edges more easily. It can still create dust in these areas if you do not spin the corner brush quickly enough. However its powerful motor is more than enough to make up for it.

In iRobot’s tests, the S9+ picked up kitty-litter and pet hair with ease. It also performed exceptionally well on hard floors, where it utilized its powerful motor to push through all kinds of debris and clean all edges and corners effortlessly. Its advanced vSLAM and Imprint Smart Mapping technology also made it one of the most efficient navigators we've tested, and it has a an unshakeable grasp of the floorspace it could even locate its ways under sofas or beds with the drape of a valance over them.

The setup and operation process is simple using the iRobot app. You can choose the functions you want to activate in the initial setup process, or wait until you have an understanding of how it works. The internal bin needs to be manually emptied after it has become full however, the process only takes about 15 seconds and is relatively quiet.

The app lets you manage the robot's schedule and set different suction and mopping modes for each room.

The S8 has improved HyperForce suction that is able to clean up small particles and hair effortlessly. The app allows you to adjust the suction power. The device is able to automatically switch between energy-efficient 'Quiet Balanced' and 'Turbo" modes depending on the surface it is cleaning. It also comes with a 'Carpet Suction Boost' mode which increases suction when the robot is positioned on rugs.

The S8 can be controlled using one button that serves as a 'Cleaning' button for the entire robot as well as a Spot Clean button to direct it to a specific location.
