In our test of the push and turn it performed better than the majority of other strollers that we tested, but it's still not the easiest to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doorways. The front wheels can be locked in an forward position or allow them to rotate which helps when covering rough terrain. When we walked on the stony path, we let them swivel and it performed well, although it seemed slightly bumpier than other models in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain, jogging strollers. But they also make a broad selection of pushchairs with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It folds easily and fits in the car's boot even with the carrycot attached.

It is a bit heavier than other strollers we tried, but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and durable. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all types of terrain. It's easy to carry even with two children and shopping bags.

The seat and carrycot both come with hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are waterproof and strong, unlike some other pram hoods that get turned back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it comes with a large basket deep enough to hold a changing bag or plenty of food. You can also pair it with the Baby Jogger car seat for infants up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to use a stroller on the go.

This budget single pushchair is surprisingly easy to maneuver and features an excellent dual suspension system, one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It's also light and robust. The seat can be reclined into various positions. It also is equipped with a double breathable mattress that's suitable from birth.

The canopy/seat has two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't great - it's not as silent as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.
