It also features a multi-position reclined seat and a cup holder for the parent. Other important features include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

It did better in our push and turn test than most of the strollers we tested but is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The seat reclines with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to help their child in and out. Despite this being quite a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps with ease and was able to pass through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels can be locked in forward positions or allow them to rotate which helps when covering rough terrain. When we walked through the stony trail, we allowed them to swivel and it performed well, though it did appear more bumpy than the other models in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is best known for its three-wheeled, all-terrain jogging strollers. However, they also manufacture a vast selection of pushchairs with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is simple to use and folds up small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It's a little heavier than other strollers we tested but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and durable. It is easy to maneuver across different terrains, and even with two children as well as a shopping bag and other items.

The seat and carrycot both come with hoods with pull-down UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are water-resistant and durable, unlike some other pram hoods that are whipped back into toddlers faces.

It does not have much storage space, but it does have a large basket deep enough to hold a changing bag or a large amount of groceries. The canopy/seat comes with two large sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't the best because it's not as quiet as Velcro and could awaken napping babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even works with some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be placed so that they face each other. They can also be positioned towards the parents. This should reduce sibling disputes about who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a large gear tray, bottle holder, snack trays and the ability to change mats. It also has an automatic frame lock and a superior compact fold.
