Best Lightweight Single Stroller

Travel strollers aren't any lighter or more compact than this one. Its sleek design is simple to fold into a neat rectangular shape and the wheels spin more easily than some other models.

It also comes with a huge under-seat storage area and an adjustable shoulder strap that makes it easy to carry around if you're not pushing it. But the canopy adjustment can cause a lot of noise, which might disturb a sleeping toddler.

1. Contours Itsy

A compact stroller The Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its size. The basket in the back of the seat is equipped with a spring-loaded mechanism, which means you can move the basket to store bags for diapers or backpacks and then it will open up to secure its contents. It comes with a child's accessory holder and an adjustable seat pad that reclines. This is more than you would find on a typical lightweight stroller.

Additionally, it has an impressive canopy that is able to open and close to provide the level of sun protection you require, and the handlebar is height-adjustable in four positions to provide a more comfortable fit. We weren't too impressed by the quality of its ride on rough surfaces. We felt that the suspension and wheels did not do a very good job of absorbing bumps and shocks.

The stroller is perfect for travel since it comes fully assembled in the box. It only takes a few simple steps to get it ready for use. The seat can be moved forward and backwards to adjust the recline which is essentially flat. It's a cinch to fold and unfold, thanks to two buttons on the frame. It can be tucked away in the most convenient carrying bag when not in use. It's actually one of the smallest strollers that we've tested and meets most airline requirements for gate-checking and storage in the cabin on planes. Make sure you check with your airline before you travel, as rules may differ. 2. Kolcraft Cloud Plus

This stroller is a great option for those who require a lightweight travel stroller. It comes with everything parents desire in a stroller, such as all-terrain wheels and front suspension for a smooth ride. It's also extremely light with a weight of less than 12 pounds. And it has a convenient fold that is self-standing and one-hand. It also comes with a child tray and parent tray, each with two cup holders.

Its quality, though, is a little at the lower end and it didn't score well in our maneuverability tests. It also features a flexible frame that makes pushing it across rough surfaces feel like lifting a heavy weight. It might be okay if you only use the stroller on sidewalks that are paved. However, for the majority of people it is not comfortable.

The Cloud Plus features a three-tiered extended canopy that has a peek-aboo window to provide additional sun protection. Its multi-position seat can be used by children weighing up to 50 pounds and uses five points of safety restraint. This is a great choice for older toddlers that have outgrown their infant car seats.

It's small and folds down in one step. It is able to be collapsed by pressing the button. It also has a convenient brake that can be operated by a foot, which is simple and easy to adjust and release.

However the handle is lower than many of the other strollers we've tested, and some parents may find it uncomfortable for extended periods of time. The handle is secured in place when it's open. This is an excellent feature if you intend to use the stroller on uneven or gravelly terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow stroller is the ideal stroller for parents who are constantly moving. This ultra-compact stroller folds down and up easily and fits in the overhead compartments on planes or trunks in amusement parks (no need to fret about parking fees). It comes with a convenient zip bag for storage that is easy to carry. It can be used with the infant car adapter right from birth and offers good sun protection with its canopy. The only drawback is that some parents find the style to be uninspiring and cheap.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ stroller is more expensive than other light single stroller with standing board strollers. However, it was designed specifically to be a luxury urban stroller and for travel. It's among the smallest strollers to fold (and includes a convenient carry case) It also comes with plenty of storage space, including cups holder. The seat reclines to almost flat for both children and adult. This is the only stroller on our list that can be used with a newborn with the car seat adapter. Some short parents may not like the handlebar, as it does not adjust.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 may not be the lightest stroller, however it comes with a number of amazing features that help children travel more easily. The large seat reclines to an upright position and comes with additional padding to make those plane napping sessions more comfortable. The canopy that extends can provide good sun protection, while the parent tray has plenty of storage. It also features a spring-loaded footrest that doubles as a handle when folded. This footrest, however seems vulnerable to damage from baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Minu V2

Uppababy Minu V2 is a stylish stroller with a premium design and quality. Its compact design makes it easy to maneuver through narrow streets and tight spaces and its robust construction allows it to handle rough terrain without compromising the comfort of your child. The spring-action suspension in the front and rear makes for a more comfortable ride, and the durable materials ensure it can stand up to the wear and tear of everyday use. Additionally it can be extended to accommodate additional items such as an infant car seat.

Even with a baby on the way, the Minu was very easy to fold and maneuver. Its squat fold that splits into three parts was among the easiest folds we tested. This allows it to fit easily in overhead compartments in planes and public transport. It has a single buggy with buggy board-action, color-coded brake that is simple to use.

The seat reclines in a variety of positions and the leg rest can be adjusted using one hand, making it easy to find your child's ideal position. The UPF 50+ hood came down quite a bit, which was great for shielding Cora's eyes from sun (though not quite as low as some other strollers). The medium-sized mesh peekaboo window is attached magnetically to the canopy and shuts without the use of noisy Velcro.

The Minu weighs just under 15 pounds, and comes with an integrated handle that makes it easy for transport. It also has a shoulder strap. It can be stored in the trunk of your car, and comes with a storage case and Uppababy TravelSafe which extends the manufacturer's warranty by two years and includes the cost of replacement if something is damaged during travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy, a well-known stroller brand that makes various models. This lightweight model is a good option for parents who want a workhorse stroller that carts children around, provides ample storage space, is relatively simple to use and doesn't require a high engineering degree to fold. It's not the best choice if you want an automobile seat-compatible model or a double stroller. It isn't compatible with infant car seats. Your baby must be able to sit up on their backs before they can use it.

This stroller is packed with features and is offered at a very affordable price. It was awarded a higher score in our review of maneuverability than some other models with similar specs, and it's an excellent choice for smooth paved surfaces. It has a huge parent tray, a canopy and plenty of storage. The handlebar is shorter than the average, and the front wheel suspension is a bit stiffer, but it is still comfortable for adults.

If you have twins or two kids of different ages you may find a side by side stroller to be the best choice to transport them. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove. It has a lot of features and a small footprint which means it can be placed in places where other side-byside strollers won't.

It features reclining seats that are individually adjustable, a large canopy with a peek-a-boo window and tons of storage. It's heavier than other side-bysides however it has a decent weight capacity and can accommodate most children up to 50 lbs. It's possible to add a bassinet to the front of the stroller for infants.

The Caboose RS Sit and Stand Stroller is an elegant version of the stroller. It has the same fantastic features as the model above and comes with a bassinet, allowing you to bring your baby home from the hospital with fashion.
