1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation for being the ultimate lightweight stroller, both for city dwellers as well as jet-setters. This is thanks to its extremely nimble handling and fold-down design that can be incorporated into an aeroplane's overhead luggage. The most recent version comes with independent suspension on all 4 wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to effortlessly traverse all terrains and types'.

The curved fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a stylish pushchair that has a soft elegant design. The frame's weight alone is just over a kilogram and is so light you can lift it directly from the box (and do it using one hand).

The hood, as an example is able to snap onto the YOYO2 in a reassuring manner. It is also machine washable at 30deg which helps prevent staining caused by smushed and mashed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It can also be transformed into a stroller at 6 months with the YOYO connect other chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a fantastic choice for parents who want an adaptable stroller wagon. It can be converted from a stroller to wagon by simply turning the handle, so parents can choose the mode they prefer for their adventure. The wagon can accommodate one or two children from 6 months old to 5 years, and it comes with a spacious storage basket to accommodate all of your on-the-go needs.

The Xplore has dual canopies which can rotate from front to back, offering adequate sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than some wagons. This may not be suitable for long trips or napping.

The frame on the Xplore feels solid and sturdy however it doesn't have the same flexibility as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the other models, and it does not secure when folded. It is easy to move however, and it can fit through narrow doors of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are looking for a second stroller that is affordable. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and folded size that means it's light, compact when folded and easy to move into a trunk of a car or closet. It also comes with a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels as well as two large hanging storage bags.

It did better in our push and turn test than a lot of the strollers we tested but is still difficult to maneuver over uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only direct overhead coverage, and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger sunshades.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together with an average manual and no components required tools. However, it's missing certain essential features we believe it is important to consider as non-negotiable features in a double stroller, such as an extra-large basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors, which can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't ideal as it’s not as quiet as Velcro and could wake up napping babies.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be adapted to accommodate twins or siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even can be used with carrycots.
