Nordstrom's NYC flagship store will highlight eight black-owned businesses at an in-store market from February 14 to March 6. Founded by self taught designer/artisan Valerie Blaise in Brooklyn New York. VAVVOUNE (pronounced vav*une) is a leather-based accessories brand that is renowned for its use of its cultured design. The brand's innovative operation is influenced by moods nostalgia, and practicality.

Valerie Blaise, a designer of her own line is taking this trend one step further by designing bags that are chic and elegant. Designed with architecturally inspired accents her collections are ideal for every occasion from work to dinner.

You've probably seen Anima Iris on celebrities like Beyonce. Even you've not seen them you should check them out. Anima Iris

If you're looking for a stylish modern, contemporary bag that speaks to your style-conscious side, Anima Iris is the brand for you. Wilglory Tanjong is the creator of this brand of luxury purses. She is a full-time MBA student who started the brand in 2020.

The bags are made in Dakar, Senegal. Each bag bears the name of a family member or close friend, like Anima and Iris, one of Wilglory's best friends from childhood.

While a majority of luxury brands promote their European heritage, Anima Iris centers African tradition and history in its designs. The company donates a percentage of its profits to help women of color, and also selling fashionable bags.
