There's a robot that can be found for all carpet types, regardless of whether it's high-pile or low-pile. These intelligent appliances can navigate through your home, pick up debris and even clean under furniture.

They come with advanced features like mapping that help you navigate around your home and remember where furniture is located. They can also increase suction power to clear dirtier areas.

iRobot Roomba 694

The Roomba by iRobot is a basic robot vacuum that works well on both plain flooring and carpets with low pile. It has good suction however, it struggles with larger debris such as sand or grains of rice. It also does a good job of removing pet hair however it isn't resistant to tangling like the high-end Roomba models like the I6 or j7.

The Roomba is easy to operate. It has three buttons on its top cover. "Clean," which initiates a cleaning session and 'Dock', which puts it in its charging station and the 'Spot' button, which triggers a targeted cleaning. It can be controlled via a smartphone application that allows you schedule cycles, stop/start the cycle and change settings. You can also connect it with smart home devices such as Alexa or Google Assistant for voice-controlled operation.

This vacuum cleaner is slower than others, but can still be able to reach the majority of corners and crevices. It comes with a large bin that makes it easy to empty. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers which lets you program the robot to stay out of certain areas or stop cleaning altogether to avoid it from becoming stuck.

It's not the best robot vacuum with mapping and self empty for its price, but it's still superior to other models. The Roborock E4 is more advanced than the Roomba 694, with better cleaning performance for carpets that are low and bare. It also has a longer-lasting battery and a more efficient path. It is also more robust, has fewer parts that require regular maintenance, is priced less over its lifetime and charges faster than 694.

It's also worth looking at other models that are more expensive within the iRobot line, such as the 981 or the v7. They're more expensive, however they are significantly better than the 694 in terms of cleaning performance on both low- and bare floors, Robotic vacuum and mop follow a more efficient cleaning route and have a larger dirt compartment, are quicker to charge, maneuver themselves more easily, and are easier to connect with smart home devices.

Shark RV1001AE IQ

This self-emptying robot that is budget-friendly does an okay job on hard floors as well as carpets with low pile. The combo brush can reach into corners and edges, and it automatically increases suction when it spots carpet. It also excels at cleaning dirt that is embedded in mid-pile carpet. The IQ's small footprint for Best Vacuum Mop Robot Combo docks and the self-emptying feature are great features. If you'd like to change the floor level or set no-go areas, you'll need to manually reset the map.

The IQ app provides advanced mapping and automated features, however it isn't equipped with no-go zones. These are available only on iRobot robots. Its intelligent-pathing navigational system results in greater maneuverability, and its high-pile carpet mode is clean well, but it is prone to get caught up on rug tassels. Additionally, its iHome speaker allows you to control the robot using voice commands.

In our tests, we observed that the IQ handled pet hair well. It was able to eliminate lots of debris on floors that were not bare, and a fair amount of medium-pile rug. It was less effective with shag carpets. It was unable to reach dirt and dust embedded within the fibers. It did a decent job of navigating the legs of chairs, tight spaces, and the bottom of an wooden IKEA step stool. We did notice it was a little slower on floors that were not paved, but it regained speed and performed more thoroughly than the other robots we tried.

The IQ is a better choice for the majority of users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a bigger dustbin and a longer battery life and is more adept at navigating around obstacles. It also has a mopping attachment that can handle sticky debris. On the other side the iRobot feels better-built, has fewer parts that require maintenance or replacement, incurs lower recurring costs, and can create virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It can continue cleaning from where it left off, even if the battery runs out before it finishes. The iRobot is also controlled by voice commands, which is an enormous benefit for many users.

Eufy 11S

The RoboVac 11S eufy robot vacuum isn't one of the most features-rich models, but it provides great cleaning power at an affordable price. The RoboVac 11S is designed for budget-conscious consumers who do not require a complicated mapping system, or even an application to control it. The robot is able to last for more than an hour. It includes an remote control, a cleaning tool, and AC power adapter.

The 11S is slim and sleek, with an upper deck of tempered glass that covers plastic finished to look like brushed aluminum. It's a nice change from the utilitarian and industrial designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.

In our tests, the eufy 11S was excellent at picking up larger particles and fine dust on hard flooring. It struggled to deep clean medium and high-pile carpets. The device is prone to hit people and furniture in its path. However, it can detect these obstacles using sensors. When it comes across them, it ceases to move and emits a loud sound so you can manually guide it through the obstacle before getting back to work.

The BoostIQ mode is a great feature of the Eufy11S. It allows you to set the robot up to automatically adjust the suction strength based on the floor type and the amount of mess. The remote control makes it simple to guide the 11S to the desired location.

If you don't have much furniture in the space where you'd like to vacuum Single Room Mode is an excellent option. The eufy will take 30 minutes focusing on cleaning the area that it is assigned to.

You can also opt for Edge Cleaning that limits the time spent in each area to 20 minutes to ensure optimal battery life. With this option, the eufy will move in a spiral pattern, tackling corners and edges for a thorough clean.

The turbo head is ideal for low-pile and high-pile carpeting, while the standard powerhead works well on bare floors and lightweight carpets. It also has an automatic height adjustment system which allows it to easily adapt to different kinds of flooring, without manual adjustments.

The model comes with an SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead that can handle both hard floors and carpeting with a medium pile. The powerhead can be easily maneuvered and can reach hard-to-reach areas. It comes with five different surface adjustments as well as a brushroll-off switch to prevent tangled hairs.

The Classic C1 also has a self-cleaning brush roll, an UtraClean mode that cycles around the same area three times to give the best robot vacuum with mapping possible clean, and a self-emptying dustbin that can be emptied with the push of one button.
