Counter Strike New Revealed

After weeks of rumors, Valve has finally revealed Counter Strike new. It's a major update to CS:GO which will bring it onto the Source 2 engine.

It also brings sub-tick server updates as well as responsive smoke grenades. It's made a lot armchair gamers go crazy however, it appears to be an upgrade for the average player.

Smokes

Counter Strike New has a major update that will alter the way smokes work in the game. The new changes are being referred to as responsive smokes and will be a major game changer. Smokes will expand to fill spaces and move around objects on the map. They will also react to the lighting of the game, which will make them look better and more realistic. Smokes will also interact with events in the game. This will open up new tactical possibilities. For instance, bullets could cause smoke to temporarily clear sightlines and Case Horizon explosions from hex grenades will disperse smoke occlusion.

Smokes are now more dynamic in the game. In previous iterations, smokes were a fixed shape that was limited in how far they could travel and how much vision they blocked. Smokes of the new design will fill the space in which they are placed and make it harder for players to see vision when they are there. This is a significant improvement that will make the game more dynamic and give both teams the same level of visibility.

This will make smoke more realistic and offer players to utilize it to gain an advantage over their opponents. This will be especially useful in the chaotic matches that will take place on every map.

Smokes will no longer be one-way which was a major issue in CSGO and allowed players to see their opponent's location from behind the smoke. Twistzz is a well-known CS:GO professional, says the new system is a major improvement for players in competitive CS2 and will make it more fair for both teams.

Other minor improvements include changing the vertical position of smoke particles to minimize the visible edges, and updating viewers' smoke overlay visuals so that they correspond to their camera's position. Also, the expiration of smokes has been updated to be more in line with the visuals of how they fade onto the screen.

Loadouts

The CS:GO players are now able to customize their weapon selection prior the start of each match. The new loadout system allows players to select weapons that suit their playstyles and team strategies. The new system also adds new tactical depth to the game, because players must balance power and utility.

In addition to the brand new loadouts, the CS: GO update includes many other enhancements and changes. Most important, the purchase menu has been completely revamped. The old buy wheel has been replaced by an adjustable grid that shows all options for purchase simultaneously. The grid has been populated with five pistols as well as five "mid-tier" weapons, such as submachine guns and shotguns and five carbines and rifles.

The new system is easy to use and will give players more control over their weapon choices. It will allow them to choose the weapons that suit their playstyle and team strategy the best, aswell being able to experiment with different combinations. It will also allow them to test out their skills against other players' loadouts and see how they compare.

Many players have praised the added flexibility while others have criticised it for straying from the fundamental premise of Counter-Strike. They also expressed concern over how it would impact map-specific loadsouts and agent's skins based upon visibility.

However, despite these criticisms however, it is important to keep in mind that the new loadout system is in its early stages and will undergo more thorough testing in the coming months. It is possible that certain issues could be addressed in future updates, therefore it is vital to keep an eye out for further details.

In addition to the brand new CS: GO features, the latest update also includes Workshop Tools, which can be enabled in the game's settings menu. These tools allow community contributors to design weapons' finishes, stickers and maps. Additionally, the update will now live ban players who violate VAC guidelines during matches.

The latest CS: GO update is scheduled to launch later in the summer. Players can browse the complete list of updates and features by visiting the official CS: GO website.

Sub-Tick Updates

The server updates the world of Counter-Strike in small intervals of time, referred to as ticks. The smallest gap between a tick and a mouse click of a player may have an impact on the accuracy of a shot, so Valve is doing its best to make sure that CS: GO is fluid and responsive. A new video highlights the biggest improvements made to the game, which is also known as sub tick updates.

Instead of an update of 64 ticks every millisecond, CS: GO will now be able use sub-ticks (or as Valve calls them, "micro-ticks") to communicate with the server. Each of these small increments of time will be recorded by the client and sent to the server, which will then return the latest game state to players. The servers will know exactly when you shot or jumped or peeked.

While a minute-long video is not enough to explain everything the video explains every piece of information sent by the client is accompanied by a time stamp, and that the server will gather all information from all players in chronological order before sending it back. According to the video the CS: GO server will be able to send more than twice the data as a 64-tick server.

That means that when the game's tick rate increases to 128 Hz, it'll be able to handle your commands immediately and consistently. It's not just about increasing the tick rate as micro-tick updates also reduce input lag and Case horizon latency by guaranteeing that the server responds to your actions without delays or glitches.

Valve's technical enhancements to the game are just beginning. The company is working on dynamic smoke and particle systems to improve how smoke interacts with the surrounding and is updating all maps with high-resolution textures, lighting and models. Source 2 tools and features will be used to upgrade all CS cosmetics and weapons.

Maps

The next update for Counter Strike New brings new maps as well as some classics that have been updated with facelifts. These updates are being tested in a limited beta. The first set of maps includes upgrade and touchstone maps that won't see major changes to gameplay, whereas others have been revamped or rebuilt using the latest Source 2 tools.

Of these, Overpass has been reworked to make use of the engine's new unified lighting system. The underpass on the map's dark and eerie scene has been flooded with daylight, Shattered web case making the space more spacious and less crowded. In addition, smoke grenades will now expand dynamically to fill in spaces and interact with the new light.

Italy is a different map that has been overhauled. Its texture, lighting, and structure have been greatly improved. The new version has a more balanced feel than its predecessor which was heavily CT focused. Fans can expect more classics, including Aztec and Militia, to be revamped in the near future.

While many of these maps are still playable in other modes, they're not added to the map pool for competitive play. The only exception is Train which was pulled out of Active Duty and will continue to be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't confirmed yet if the other maps that were removed will be returned to the pool.

One of the most controversial updates is one created by Helsingin Sanomat, Finland's national newspaper. The newspaper has been active in its critique of Russia's actions in Ukraine. The map is based off of the conflict-ravaged Donetsk. It's titled de_voyna, and features a number of references to the conflict.

In the future, the developer will be releasing a collection of Source 2 tools for community map creators to make their own maps. This will include features such as improved lighting and character read and a physically based rendering system that produces realistic textures, materials, and reflections. It will also make real-world objects like doors and windows, simpler to use. The update is set to release sometime this summer.
