What Are the Different Types of Codes and How Do They Work?

Modern car keys contain unique chips that are unique to each vehicle, unlike older keys. This prevents thieves from simply taking the key and then turning on the car.

Transponder Codes

The name implies that transponders transmit an encoded signal with the four-digit code when it is interrogated by air traffic control.
