Choosing a Double Pushchair Twin

You'll need a double stroller in order to take your twins from one place to B. Our range comprises of twin prams as well as double buggies in various configurations to meet your family's needs.

Find a pushchair that folds in one step and is easy to carry into your car. You may also prefer a lightweight design that's easy to maneuver and navigate, particularly if you have busy roads to traverse.

Side-by-Side

This is the most popular double pushchair. It can usually seat two children side by side. They tend to be a bit wider than single pushchairs, which means they're less agile on the sidewalk and can be a bit difficult to navigate through kerbs when a car seat is attached. However, the extra width does mean that they're often a lot easier to navigate through doorways and are more evenly distributed making them more comfortable to carry on your back.

One of the best examples of this is the Bugaboo Donkey 5 which, in Twin Mode, allows you to put the rear seat and a carrycot side-by-side. This creates a fully enclosed twin space, which is ideal for infants. This pram comes with some amazing accessories, like the newborn cocoons that can be attached either facing forwards or in any direction (for twin-facing prams pushchairs prams pushchairs). It's not as light as some other options, but it's very well thought out.

Lightweight

Its innovative frame expands widthways to accommodate two seats and can be used it as a twin from birth by incorporating the addition of two newborn cocoons (PS59 each) that create enclosed lie-flat spaces for babies. The large shopping basket that is behind the seat lets it be used in mono mode with just one child. It has both front and rear suspension, so it can handle bumps and uneven surfaces better. It is a top pick among our reviewers.

Available in a variety fashionable colors.

Tandem

If you are planning to have twins, Pushchair Twin you'll need a tandem pushchair. This allows each child to sit and look at each other. These are great for things like going to the zoo since the children will be able to gaze at all the animals together. They're also perfect for parents who need to keep one eye on their toddler and the other on their child because they can see both of them at the same time.

Some tandem pushchairs are extremely flexible, as they can be converted to single mode. This is especially useful when you are planning to have more children than two (or if your eldest child does not require an extra buggy). This means you won't be left with an empty pushchair that you need to store away which can be expensive.

The Cybex Venus, for example can be used in double or mono mode. The frame can be expanded to accommodate a second seat. This isn't the heaviest of pushchairs, but it does come with a large basket for shopping that is placed behind the front seat in double mode (and in the back of the seat in mono mode). The seats can be set to face each other, or one can be set higher, so that it can look over the other and observe what they're doing.

Other double tandem pushchairs, like the Joolz Geo 3, are able to seat one above the other or side by side. They have a sleek, compact frame that makes it easier to maneuver through doors and aisles of supermarkets and some models can be used as a jogging or stroller on rough terrain thanks to a four-wheel suspension and wide rear wheels.

A tandem pushchair can be used to carry two carrycots or a car with a buggy seat. This means you can create a travel system from the beginning and save money on separate purchases. It's worth remembering, however, that tandems are heavier and longer than single pushchairs, and are less stable when as you go over uneven surfaces. These pushchairs must also be dismantled to fit in cars.
