The iRobot Roomba is a budget-friendly robot vacuum that works well on both plain flooring and floor carpets with a low pile. It has good suction however, it struggles with larger debris like grains of rice or sand. It also does a decent job of removing pet hair, but it's not impervious to tangling as high-end Roomba models such as the I6 or j7.

The Roomba is easy to use. It features three buttons on the top cover. 'Clean,' which triggers a cleaning process, 'Dock,' which places it in its charging station and "Spot," which initiates a targeted cleaning. It can be controlled via a smartphone application that allows you schedule cycles, stop/start them, and alter settings. You can also connect it with smart home devices such as Alexa or Google Assistant for voice-controlled operation.

This vacuum is slower than others, but it's still able to reach the majority of crevices and corners. It has a large bin which makes it much easier to empty. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers, which lets you make the robot avoid certain areas, or even stop cleaning altogether to avoid it from becoming stuck.

While it's not the best model for its price but it's far superior to other options. The Roborock E4 is more advanced than the Roomba 694 with a much better cleaning performance on both bare and low-pile carpets. It also has a more durable battery and a better path. It is also more robust, has fewer components that require regular maintenance, is priced less over its lifetime, and charges faster than 694.

It is also worth considering other models within the iRobot range, like the v7 or the 981.
