The machine can be programmed to produce the exact amount of drinks you desire. This is an excellent feature for busy families.

Easy to use

This basic, black Nespresso machine is easy to use and maintain. It features a minimalist, simple design with just one button at the top that controls powering, rinsing brewing and much more. Open the lid, insert a capsule in and click to begin brewing. It heats quickly and offers various drink options, such as double-shot espresso, a 5 8 or 18-ounce cup of coffee. It even comes with a steaming wand, perfect for adding cafe-worthy milk texture to your drinks. We like the compact design and easy-to-use interface, however, nespresso machine Magimix we discovered that this machine didn't produce as strong a cup of coffee or espresso as some models that are more expensive. It's also not as simple to recycle the capsules as other machines we've tested. This Nespresso was not the top choice in our side-byside test for these reasons.

Quick to brew

The Nespresso machine can brew an espresso cup in just 15 minutes. The hot water from a reservoir enters a pump that pierces the small holes on the top of the pod. The water then mixes with the ground coffee, and drips into the cup. The machine created an extremely rich, delicious espresso with a slight hint of bite when we tried it using Jones Brothers and Bestpresso coffee capsules. We tested whole, almond and 2% milks and all worked well.

Easy to clean

It is however recommended to make use of a descaling solution instead, since vinegar can be harmful to the machine.

To clean your Nespresso, begin by removing all the pods and washing the drip tray and capsule container. Then fill a sink or large bowl with warm water and add a few squirts dish soap. Let the drip tray or capsule container soak for a few seconds in the soapy solution to loosen any gunk or stains. Rinse the drip tray and capsule container using hot water. If you're using vinegar be sure to use white vinegar, not apple or balsamic vinegar, as these are too aggressive for this task.
