The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to handle dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as other models do, to identify your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automatic vacuum and mop robot schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of one button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal, or opt for two detailed maps of your space to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and clean big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has a superior filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim however, best self cleaning robot vacuum and mop we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on more expensive models. The mopping system is even better because its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than the vibrating pads.

The only issue is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a major issue when you're looking to purchase one of the best lidar vacuum robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is not right like a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also combine or create rooms to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. This feature is beneficial for those who have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests, picking up debris on both carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first go. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you could wish for. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads clean tough stains and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can create detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are great but they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury, which might make it a little more expensive than some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving through the home. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This produces a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop efficiently without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops are efficient, removing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
