This vacuum isn't afraid to tackle the stairs, unlike some others. However, like any mop and vacuum it is prone to getting blocked by debris, such as loose tennis shoes or ribbons and yarn, play jewelry or other loose objects.

iRobot Combo i5

iRobot Combo i3

The iRobot Combo i3 has been upgraded from the original Roomba i3. It has the same great external dirt compartment and a HEPA filter to snuff out allergens, but now it also supports smart mapping. You can now designate no-go areas to prevent the vacuum and mop in one from cleaning the same areas repeatedly. The i3 Plus has a lot of other fantastic features, including its advanced cleaning system and a power-lifting 10x vacuum. It also has a three-stage cleaning procedure. It has a textured finish to keep dust, pet hair and fingerprints from getting on.

It does well on plain floors and cleans most debris, but it struggled with pet hair on low pile carpets. It does an excellent job with high pile carpets though and is much quieter than its competitors.
